Village Government
Strang is governed by a town board composed of five members elected by the village residents to a 4-year term. Board meetings are held at 7 p.m. at the 4-H community hall on the 2nd Monday of each month.
Police protection is provided by the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Department. Fire and rescue unit services are provided by neighboring towns.
Local Leadership
The Village Board and the Strang Community Improvement organization (CIP) spearhead Strang’s improvement projects, general upkeep of the town and the promotion of tourism. The local softball and baseball teams, the Strang Sewing Club, and 4-H Club also provide assistance in promoting the community Pancake Day, hosted by the Strang CIP is an annual event held the last Sunday of February from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
