Bubba's Anytime Strang Cafe - Phone 402/759-4840 Bubba's provides noon meals and specials every night of the week. Open 7 days per week from 7:30 a.m. till "nobody wants fed." Local Government Strang is governed by a town board composed of five members elected by the village residents to a 4-year term. Board meetings are held at 7 p.m. at the 4-H community hall on the 2nd Monday of each month.
Police protection is provided by the Fillmore County Sheriff's Department. Fire and rescue unit services are provided by neighboring towns.
Local Leadership
The Village Board and the Strang Community Improvement organization (CIP) spearhead
Strang's improvement projects, general upkeep of the town and the promotion
of tourism. The local softball and baseball teams and the Strang Sewing Club
also provide assistance in promoting the community
Pancake Day, hosted by the Strang CIP is an annual event held the last Sunday
of February from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Education
Students in the Strang school district have the option of attending any school
in the area. Nearby schools include Bruning/Davenport Unified School District,
Fillmore Central Public Schools, Meridian Public School, and Shickley Public
School. Schools provide bus service.
Library
The Strang Library is housed in the former Town Hall/Jail building which was
built in 1907 and converted to a library in 1997.
